P11R Teaser Image on Social Media
McLaren dropped this earlier on their social media pages, with the caption:

"Your first look at something new, more on this coming soon."

Followed by a comment shortly afterwards:

"We don't like to keep you guessing for too long. It's a track-focused development of the 650S and it will be at the Geneva Motor Show alongside the McLaren P1™ GTR."

    Exciting!

I don't think I've seen this in the flesh. Yet.

Let us know if/when you do! Make sure to take note of the rear end, as it sounds like the name will be Long Tail, so presumably there's some fun stuff going on back there.

The black bits are used to cover up features, I believe, the blue covering is just to protect new cars as they are testing them.

Most at I see aren't covered, lot are blue, when you see black you know it's a bit special.

having said that, the pre pre production cars had big numbers on the side - one had a single exhaust a la P1 and the second had two exhausts A la 12C/ 650S it was obvious they were test cars but we had no idea at the time what they would release!

So what do we have going on here:

Very obviously a new lower intake, and wider more aggressive lower sill, presumably carbon both for the sill and the vent surround.

    P1 style Super-Super Lightweight wheels?

Something seems different here with the shape of the outside piece:

It's a good thing in my opinion if they change a bit the front of the car, i mean the 650s and p1 are already pretty similar, on the 675 lt a change is needed.

The first thing that i noticed were the wheels, they look similar to the P1 wheels and i know that on a 650s you cannot fit P1 wheels. This tells me that this new car is a lot more than a tricked out 650s!
